Our very active weekends

As I type this, my entire body is sore...it hurts just to breathe. We went snowboarding on Saturday and I took more runs than ever and actually rode down the mountain like a real snowboarder! Then on Sunday we put the bikes on the car and headed to our favorite mountain biking spot. Being sore is totally worth all the fun we had, it was great! Here are some of the highlights.

Mmmmm....beer!

We took a road trip to Hood River, Oregon for a beer tasting weekend with some great friends.

Our first stop - Full Sail!

Then a drive across the bridge to local brewery with shuffle board and yummy sweet potato fries!

Back over the bridge for wine tasting!

Somehow I didn't get a picture at the last brewery, but I did end up with a nice sweatshirt from there! Thanks to wonderful friends for a memorable weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day this year, we made home-made wontons and fried rice, yummy! And of course, sake to go with it. It's a perfect way to spend Valentine's Day.

Our First Anniversary!

Out to dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant, then a romantic night at a hotel downtown Seattle.

I can't believe it's been a whole year since our wedding! Everyone says the first year is the hardest and if that's true then bring on the rest of our lives because this year has been incredibly wonderful!

Finally!

Paul has been teaching me how to snowboard for four year now. (Granted, I've only gone up to the mountain about 5 times in those years). This Saturday it clicked for me. I FINALLY rode down the hill without falling on my face (or other body part). I even got off the chairlift successfully all three times! Here I am tearing it up, with my proud husband commentating.

I ended up on my butt in this one, but at least I knew what I had done wrong...I forgot to look up the hill during my turn.

Happy Birthday!

I turned the big 2-7! Paul took me out to an amazing sushi dinner and surprised me with the most gorgeous necklace I've ever seen. I have such a loving husband!
