We got hitched!
It was a beautiful wedding on Maui, more than either of us could have imagined. The pastor, a true Hawaiian, added flare to the ceremony and the musician was perfect. More importantly, we were truly in the moment unaware of the kids playing on the beach behind us and people stopping to take our picture. Our cheeks hurt after the ceremony from all the smiling - it was indescribably magnificent.
This was our pastor, blowing the conch shell to signal the beginning of the ceremony.
Looking into each other's eyes, amazed at the beauty of life.
Dancing together during the ceremony.
We got to release doves!
And there they go!
We are now a married couple! Everyone waved hankies as we walked through, which is a tradition in my family.
The whole gang
Strolling along, being married!
Paul can always make me laugh, I love this picture because it captures that.
This is Paul's grandfather's pocket watch and locket. Paul carried the pocket watch during the ceremony and I tied the locket around my bouquet. I put a picture of my grandpa in the locket so that he walked me down the aisle.
Running from the waves
And they lived happily ever after...

My wedding locket
I decided that my grandpa "Pa" will be walking me down the aisle. Since he passed away when almost 10 years ago, I will be carrying a picture of him. The picture is in a locket that belonged to Paul's grandpa. The pictures on the left side are of Paul (the one in color) and his mom (the one in black and white). Pa is on the right hand side, with the smile on his face that I remember so vividly.
The most wonderful birthday!
This is what I saw as I came down the stairs on the morning of my birthday! Paul had set it all up after I went to bed the night before. What a wonderful introduction to my day!!!
I got to open a few presents before we went out to dinner that night. One was the pagmina scarf that I'm wearing and the other was my new stair vacuum!!! I told Paul he's pretty darn lucky that I actually ASK for vacuums for my birthday. (He fully agreed)
He took me to Salty's on Alki for dinner. He had requested a romantic table with a view and we got just that! It was amazing! Truly a night to remember and all created by my most wonderful almost-husband.
